A visual interpretation of my experience attempting to climb out of depression. 

 

Ladder was constructed using only 45 degree angles, mimicking the difficulty of finding a path to healing in a rigid system with limited resources and treatment options.

 

The front side of the piece depicts smooth lines and clean joints, while the back side leaves the screws and frayed knots visible, demonstrating the effort that always lies behind performing wellness.

 

Hanging this piece required the assistance of numerous friends - a reminder that healing is easier with community support.
